What is Diagnostic Musculoskeletal Ultrasound?
Diagnostic ultrasound scanning provides very detailed assessment of certain tissues, such as tendons, which can help improve the overall management of your condition.
Diagnostic musculoskeletal ultrasound (MSKUS) imaging is performed by Doctor Stephen Miller, our Sports Medicine Physician or Shona Dewar, Lead Physiotherapist and MSK Sonographer to add additional diagnostic information to the clinical assessment. The scan is conducted as part of a detailed clinical examination.

Ultrasound Guided Injection Therapy
This is a procedure where the ultrasound helps to guide a small needle in to the skin directly to the injured area, injecting from range of joint and soft tissue injections including local anaesthetic, hyaluronic acid or anti-inflammatory steroid.
